Cloud of Destruction: A Post-Apocalyptic LitRPG (Mists of Redemption Book 3)
When a new portal opens in the post-apocalyptic ruins of Las Vegas, can an outcast Hunter level up enough to save the world?
Jynn Devhro used to be Earth’s lowest-ranked Hunter, one of a breed of enhanced humans trained to fight the monsters terrorizing what’s left of mankind. Through rigorous training and death-defying encounters with monsters—along with the help of the vengeance-seeking System grafted onto her soul—she has secretly leveled up, leaving her public ranking untouched. Now, her razor-sharp kindjal at her side, Jynn’s ready for battle.
But just when things seem to be looking up, it all comes crashing down. When the System sends out an SOS, begging for help, Jynn has no idea where it is, just that it’s in a portal. And the only Hunter ever to survive in a portal is the mysterious Kesstel, whom the System venomously rejects. Without the System, Jynn will lose her levels, her mist powers, and the chance to save her family—and the world.
In desperation, Jynn and Kesstel join their fellow Hunters on an expedition to close a new portal in the Las Vegas ruins whose appearance has shaken the entire world and rearranged the North American continent. There, Jynn will face ghosts from the past, filling her with doubt. Will she ever be strong enough to destroy the parasitic planet that’s draining Earth, or will everything fall apart before her very eyes?
