Torn from his homeland and taken as a slave to the mighty city of Thebes, Amuba finds himself in a world ruled by powerful priests, sacred rituals, and gods who demand obedience. His only anchor is Semira, a fierce and loyal guardian from his homeland. Together, they must navigate the complexities of Egyptian life, where one misstep can mean disaster.
Amuba’s fate becomes entangled with that of Chebron, the thoughtful and questioning son of a high priest. When a tragic accident leads to the death of a revered sacred cat, the three are thrust into mortal danger. Hunted by religious authorities and betrayed by those they once trusted, they flee into the wilds of Egypt—chased by the very powers that once sheltered them.
As they journey through hidden tombs, desert landscapes, and ancient secrets, Amuba, Semira, and Chebron must rely on each other to survive. In a land where belief holds the weight of law and loyalty is tested at every turn, their friendship becomes their greatest strength. This is a tale of courage, escape, and the fight to hold on to truth in a world where the gods themselves seem to stand in judgment.
