Savage Hunt (Ryan Savage Thriller, #6)
A GIRL ON THE RUN
A PUZZLING MISSION
And a twist he never saw coming...
When Homeland Security investigator Ryan Savage receives a letter from a former adversary asking him to protect someone he loves, Ryan isn’t convinced that it’s not a madman’s last laugh. But when further inquiry convinces him that there might be something to it after all, he exchanges the subtropics of the Florida Keys for the dark swamps of Louisiana.
He arrives in the isolated town of Dellenoux, where his attempt at engaging local law enforcement comes up short. Something about the town doesn’t seem right, a suspicion that is quickly confirmed when an FBI agent arrives in town just behind him, working a side investigation of his own. The two cases appear unrelated, but when a harrowing shootout nearly leaves Ryan dead, he’s forced to take a fresh look at the evidence and quickly change tactics.
Redirecting his focus to a suspicious corporation on the outskirts of town, Ryan finds himself once again having to bend the rules to get at the truth while a ruthless assassin continues an unrelenting hunt for someone Ryan had sworn to protect.
Never one to back down, Ryan finds himself confronted with an entirely new kind of evil, one that will have him examining the limits of human savagery, and once again forcing him to decide between his career and the truth.
