Much like the first book, this is best read by younger teens.

Sophie has a magical injury from the ending events from the first book; most of this volume is spent trying to find a cure. Unfortunately, all of the existing medications involve an ingredient that she is severely allergic to.

Also, Sophie develops an extreme taste for jumping off cliffs.
