He was a healer, a singer of sacred words, trained in the old ways to bring balance where there was sickness and speak harmony into broken lives. He walked the canyons and high places with his twin brother, sharing stories, dreams, and a future that once seemed unbreakable. But love, when braided with jealousy, can fray the strongest bonds. When blood is spilled by kin, there is no chant strong enough to mend the soul that did the cutting.
This is the journey of a man once bound to beauty who falls beyond it. After a single act of betrayal and rage, he becomes something else. Neither man nor animal. Neither holy nor forgiven. Shifting from crow to wolf to coyote, he wanders the far edges of the world and of himself, hunted by others and haunted by the life he destroyed. Through sacred songs and shattered silence, his story moves through the high desert, the spirit realm, and the edge of Navajo tradition where healing ends and curses begin.
Woven from myth, memory, and the deep spiritual currents of Diné (Navajo) belief, this tale explores what it means to lose one’s name and still seek meaning. Rich with ceremony and sacred vision, it is not a story of redemption but of reckoning. It is a man’s last attempt to walk in beauty after he has walked through blood.
