Mermaid stories are cute. Pretty little creatures, filled with love, and who are loved by everyone. Best of all; in mermaid stories, everyone lives happily ever after.
But those are just fairy tales, as Chloe, Bobbi and Ruby know all too well. These three mermaids barely survived high school. But now, school days are gone, and their lives have moved in different directions. Today, the best they can do is get together now and then, and catch up on their love lives.
When Bobbi has yet another blow-up with her lover, things start to come apart. Before they can share any steamy details, Chloe unexpectedly finds herself on TV - and suddenly the entire world knows that mermaids are real. When the government bursts into the scene, they have to make a choice. Do they trust each other enough to risk everything?
