The man who will become Alrekr Járnhandr is done. Weary, physically and emotionally broken, abused beyond the limits of what he can endure, he is ready to give up and die. But instead of dying, he finds himself drawn through a dark void to another world. Terribly injured, he is found and rescued by people among whom he will have a chance to build a new life.
His new world will be filled with wonders. It will be magical. It will finally give his life meaning. But it won't be easy, and he will come to discover that he has not entirely escaped all that he fled from. His past is not done with him yet... and neither is his future.
But in this life, he won't have to do it alone.
Fireborn is an alternate-world fantasy novel featuring mystic arts loosely based on Finnish mythology, polyamorous relationships, and healing from emotional abuse. Have you ever heard of a smith who can mix advanced metal alloys by ear? In Fireborn, you will.
And yes... there are dragons.
